What a poser

This bald eagle is enormous! You can spot her as we turn the bend to face Laurel Hill Cemetery. She (he?) let us drift by the breakwater without so much as a second glance.

The blue heron have finally landed in the river, too. Just as I was commenting to passengers that I hadn't seen any this year, they made their appearance in dramatic fashion, posing on a rock outcrop. Then we spotted 4 or 5 more cruising the river banks.

The seals are elusive, but definitely there, as are the stripers, jumping out of the water to the delight of the children just feet from the boat.

Summer is fully underway - we hope you're enjoying it here in Maine!
